FAQ: What are your Conditions of Acceptance?

Items With Stains, Broken Zippers, Rips, Tears, Fading, Piling, Outdated, Missing Buttons, Sweat Stains, and Strong Odors Will Be Returned or Donated. Please Make Sure All Shoes Are Clean and Free from Dirt, Grass, and Rocks on the Bottoms. All Items Must Be Branded with Labels. (Exception: Lululemon) We Do Not Accept ANY items from a Smoking Household. We also refuse ANY items with pet hair.

FAQ: What happens during processing?

Once you drop off your items, we will go through and hang your items. We will carefully inspect every item and look for any of the issues in the conditions of acceptance. After we have found all the pieces that we will put on consignment, we will steam each item and make sure that is wrinkle free and ready to be put on the floor.

FAQ: What happens to the items that are not chosen for consignment?

We will send you an email with all items we did not choose to take along with the reasons why. You will have 7 business days to pick up these items.

If you have chosen to Donate we will just Donate what we don’t take to one of our 4 donation areas.  ( Transition Society, Stepping Stones, CVRC, Yana)

FAQ: What is My Share?

After an item sells, you are eligible to receive 40% of the final sale price if you would like to take a cheque, or 50% of the final sale price as an in-store credit. These options are available for you as your items sell. We do not write cheques under $25. (WE DO REQUIRE 1 DAY’S NOTICE UPON REQUESTING A CHEQUE).

FAQ: How Long do my Items Stay on the Floor?

We want to give your items time to shine, so we are offering a 120 day agreement starting from the day each item is put on the floor. (Your items may not get on the floor the day you bring them in, depending on how much we get in it could take a week before they go on the floor).

  • We do not call consignors at the end of a contract. If the consignor wants to pick items up they give us 48 hours notice by email.

  • It is your responsibility to contact us at the end of your contract to pick up remaining items if you do not want them donated. Please give us 48 hours to have items ready for pick up.

We cannot guarantee that your items will sell.  It is all based on what our customers are looking for.

FAQ: What Happens if my Items Do Not Sell Within the 120 Days?

If an item does not sell within its agreement time, it becomes store property or is donated. At the time of the start of your agreement, you choose to have your items returned or donated.

It is your responsibility to contact us and request an item returned BEFORE it’s expiry date. You have 2 weeks from your agreement end date to pick up your items. We require a minimum of 2 days notice before the end of your 120 days, and 2 days to remove your items and remove from our inventory before picking up.

FAQ: How Much Does an Item Sell For?

We do our best to offer a price that reflects the brands, conditions, and desirability of each individual item.
Price point will be determined by VV Boutique, based on label, condition & desirability. Prices are subject to change at the determination of VV Boutique. This includes all promotions and general competitive retail market prices.

FAQ: What Brands are Not Accepted?

Old Navy, George (Wal-Mart), Ardenes, Joe fresh, Costco Brands, Men’s Denver Hayes, Men’s R.W.&Co., Bootlegger, Reitmans, Pennington’s, Northern Reflections, Eclipse, Tuff Athletics, Ricki’s, Forever 21, Alia, Shein, Urban Heritage,  Garage, and Kismet. We have to be very selective in our process so we can keep VV BOUTIQUE a great place to shop!

FAQ: What Brands are Accepted?

These are just a select few examples of brands we are looking for:
Columbia, Puma, Nike, Adidas, Yeezy, Under Armour, True religion, Gucci, Gap, Mexx, Banana Republic, Bape, LuLuLemon, Supreme, Louis Vuitton, Kenneth Cole, Titlelist, Zara, Guess, Converse, Stanfield, Burberry, G Star, North Face, Carharrt, Vans, Lacoste, Jordan, Foot Joy, Prada, Silver, Mavi, Helly Hansen.

VV Boutique does not Authenticate and items that are brought in.  If you have something that is authentic, in order for us to price it as such, we will need original receipt or authentication papers.

FAQ: What Types of Items are Not Accepted?

Socks, Underwear, Intimates, Costume Jewelry, Baby Clothing, Items damaged in any way, Men’s Suits, Men’s Trench Coats, Men’s Sport Coats.
*DUE TO CUSTOMERS ALLERGIES AND SENSITIVITIES IT’S IMPORTANT THAT ANY PET HAIR IS REMOVED, THAT THERE IS NO SMOKE SMELLS OR STRONG PERFUME OR LAUNDRY DETERGENT SMELLS PRESENT. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CLOTHING FROM A SMOKING HOUSEHOLD.

FAQ: What Happens if Items are not Picked up at end of Agreement?

Consignors that have not brought in clothing for consignment, made a purchase using their account credit, or requested a payout for 1 Year, will be considered ‘inactive’ and deleted from the system and ownership of remaining clothing will be donated and money will only be available for in-store purchases.

FAQ: What is the Return Policy?

Everything bought in store is final sale, because we automatically put the consignors money in their account.

FAQ: How Many Items Can I Drop Off?

Minimum items you can bring in is 5, Maximum items you can bring in is 20.

FAQ: When do we Take Seasonal Items?

SPRING – MARCH TO JULY
SUMMER – MAY TO JULY
FALL – AUGUST TO DECEMBER
WINTER – SEPTEMBER TO FEBRUARY
